Our Hardwood Logs burn at a high heat at a very slow rate. This type of firewood ideal for both wood-burners and open log fires.
For our Hardwood logs we use a variety of:
Kiln Dried logs are dried to around 20% moisture content (dependent on the atmosphere)
This means they have a much higher calorific value (more heat output), and also they leave less residue on your chimney
Our Softwood burns at a faster rate than our Hardwood logs, and at a higher heat. This type of firewood ideal for wood-burning stoves.
We would not recommend burning this type of firewood on an open fire as softwood tends to "spit"
All of our logs are harvested within a 20 mile radius of Reading, by local land owners. This means that we cut out the middleman, we save fuel on haulage meaning that you get better quality logs at a better price.
