Our Logs are cut to the size you require and are stacked in our barn near Stonor to ensure that they stay dry all year round.
Our Hardwood Logs burn at a high heat at a very slow rate. This type of firewood ideal for both wood-burners and open log fires.
For our Hardwood logs we use a variety of:
Kiln Dried logs are dried to around 20% moisture content (dependent on the atmosphere)
This means they have a much higher calorific value (more heat output), and also they leave less residue on your chimney
Our Softwood burns at a faster rate than our Hardwood logs, and at a higher heat. This type of firewood ideal for wood-burning stoves.
We would not recommend burning this type of firewood on an open fire as softwood tends to "spit"
All of our logs are harvested within a 20 mile radius of Stonor, by local land owners. This means that we cut out the middleman, we save fuel on haulage meaning that you get better quality logs at a better price.
